Who we are
Angel Farm is a privately operated wedding venue owned by Kent and Kaye Angel Dyer. The property has been in the family for four generations.
Kaye’s grandfather plowed parts of this farm using a mule and plow. Her father, growing up with this tradition, eventually became a row crop farmer of several hundred acres. His love for the land and his collection of old farm equipment have become part of the family legacy, one that Angel Farm plans to highlight.
It is our dream at Angel Farm to help unite families. Our joy comes from sharing what God has blessed us with and seeing families enjoy time together. Making your wedding as special as you've dreamed is of utmost importance to us.
We hope you find Angel Farm to be the special place to begin your story. We know it's a special place and are excited to share it with those looking for something truly unique.
Angel Farm is rich in history. Rocky Hollow Road, known as the road from Jacksonville, Alabama, to Rome, Georgia, was traveled by Civil War soldiers, and encampments were established very close to our venue. Artifacts found on the property include a Confederate belt buckle, a Federal uniform button, and many arrowheads.
Lumpkin Mill Creek runs through the property, offering a peaceful, gently flowing creek over many rocks. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, trees, and rolling pastures, Angel Farm captures the essence of natural beauty.
The venue features a large timber frame structure built by the family. The main barn boasts a 26-foot vaulted timber structure and beautiful wagon wheel chandeliers made by a local blacksmith. The grounds include a creek, a pine and hardwood forest, and a heart-shaped pond. Additionally, there is a covered bridge, a country store with covered porches for relaxing, a large multipurpose pavilion barn, corn fields, and fields of flowers.
Angel Farm is more than just a place to get married; it's the perfect setting to be one with nature and celebrate your union as a couple.
Our Property
The Sugar Barn is located on a 45-acre Ranch in Lake Wales, in Central Florida’s Polk County. The Whidden’s purchased the ranch in 2005 and have been developing the perfect location for your barn wedding, celebration, or corporate event.
